Job Summary:
This position reports to the Family Enhancement Supervisor and requires knowledge of program policies, legislation, protocols and risk-assessment strategies. Establishes and manages partnerships and initiates community-based planning/problem-solving. Conflict resolution at a senior level in situations involving competing objectives and/or involving a variety of service delivery concerns.
This position requires travelling by plane, boat, canoe or snowmobile, including portaging between water, land and barriers to mile 35, Bolduc and/or Leftrook for trapping, hunting, and fishing, preparing campsites and other outdoor activities land-based.
Employment Growth Opportunity Program Coordinator Supervises the EGOP Land base and respite employees.
Duties:
- Must be able to host and coordinate or plan workshops.
- Researching strategic plans for assisting the EGOP employees.
- Timesheets and schedules.
- Other duites as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Social Work Diploma (BSW)
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Good technical (multi-line phone) and computer skills.
- Accurate typing skills of at least 40 wpm.
- Ability to set priorities and work in a team setting.
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License.
- Must be able to successfully complete child abuse, criminal record check and provide upon hire.
Responsible for development and coordination, and/or consultation to social services staff within an area or region. Function as a front-line supervisor accountable for the operational planning of more than one service activity or operational planning within a region or location; or as a specialist working within a service delivery area; or with a programs’ component(s).
