Vaccination, also called immunization, vaccines, shots, or needles mean the same thing. They prevent diseases spread easily from person to person, through coughing and sneezing from harming your body. These diseases like measles, polio or whooping cough can be serious enough to cause severe health complications or even death. Vaccines work best when they are given on time, beginning when your child is very young. Getting your children vaccinated on time gives them the protection they need to stay healthy and could save lives.
